Heraeus Market Commentary
Good Morning,
Chairman Bernanke might be calling for a few more coffee breaks, to kill some time before his 2 PM statement, as this morning’s economic data give little reason to debate the current direction of monetary policy. ADP private sector jobs data showed just 130,000 jobs added this month. That’s the lowest level of job add-ons since the beginning of Q2 2013. The more heavily relied upon data, the government jobs data, has been delayed until November 8th because of the government hiatus. On the inflation front, The U.S. Labor Department reported that the Consumer Price Index rose just .2% in in September with 12 month CPI up just 1.2%. Along with a 6.5% unemployment rate, a 2% inflation target was given as the criteria for any pull-back in QE. The precious complex is pushing higher ahead of the conclusion of the FOMC meeting. Gold closed the previous session at $1345.50 and now trades nearly 1% higher at $1356. The yellow metal found some resistance near the $1360 mark, having reached as high as $1359.90. Silver is up nearly 2.5% having closed the previous session at $22.492 and now trades near the higher end of the day’s range at $23.035. Platinum has moved more than 1% higher as well, now trading at $1478 after closing the previous session at $1461.90. The white metal continues to find support from potential strike action from the AMCU. Have a great day!

FOMC Meeting
Ben Bernanke stays the course, and stimulus to continue. Tapering is not required yet. Gold and silver rally and I think the bottom is formed and we'll see higher prices in the months ahead. BK

Ron Paul: Gold Could Go To Infinity
He believes that "as long as we have excessive spending, and excessive computerized money, we are going to see gold go up," because the value of the dollar will be driven down. As each dollar becomes less valuable, it takes more of them to purchase an ounce of gold, meaning that the gold price measured in dollars rises. LINK...
********************************************
REMEMBER, "gold is money," and all this correction means is that it now takes LESS dollars to buy gold, which is a good thing. Considering the over all "stress" in global financial and geopolitical areas this is an opportunity to get in the gold market for cheap. Surely the powers that be do not plan one year in advance, they plan 5-10 years in advance and this could very well be a "set-up" for the future. China, on the other hand plans 100 years in advance and they are very bullish on gold. Do not be swayed by short term moves, focus on the long term and become self-relient and diversified. BK

No Bear Market in Gold -- Dr. Paul Craig Roberts
You know that gold bear market that the financial press keeps touting? The one George Soros keeps proclaiming? Well, it is not there. The gold bear market is disinformation that is helping elites acquire the gold.
Certainly, Soros himself doesn’t believe it, as the 13-F release issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission on May 15 proves. George Soros has significantly increased his gold holding by purchasing $25.2 million of call options on the GDXJ Junior Gold Miners Index. LINK...

Chinese Gold Buying More Than Doubled in Q1
If the bull market for gold is over nobody seems to have told the Chinese. Net gold flows from Hong Kong to China surged to 223 tonnes in March, up from 97 tonnes in February taking total imports in Q1 to more than half of the record 557 tonnes imported for the whole of last year.
And that was before the 50 per cent plus surge in physical buying in April when the gold price crashed bringing out a huge number of bargain hunters across Chinese cities. ArabianMoney witnessed the queues in several Chinese cities during our tour last month. LINK...

United States Mint Bullion Coin Authorized Purchasers,
Market demand for the United States Mint’s American Eagle
and American Buffalo Gold Bullion Coins continues at a brisk pace. While the one ounce gold bullion coins remain
the most popular, demand for the one-tenth ounce coins has remained strong too,
with year- to- date demand for these coins up over 118% compared to the same
period last year. Accordingly, the
United States Mint has temporarily suspended sales of its one-tenth ounce gold
bullion coins while inventories can be replenished.
The United States Mint continues to offer its other 22 karat
gold bullion coin options. These include
the American Eagle one ounce, one-half ounce and one-quarter ounce sizes. Sufficient inventories of the 24 karat
American Buffalo One Ounce Gold Bullion Coins also exist.
